Leadership means something a little different to us. OUR LEADERS

Despite how much we’ve grown, we’re still organized and operating like a small, family-owned business. It’s part of what makes Doing Better Business different from other office technology suppliers. We stay focused where it matters: on people, not simply rote processes which produce profits.

Since 1973 our central operations remain still in family hands, rooted firmly in the community in which Doing Better Business was founded. Our current owners are:

DEBRA DELLAPOSTA
OWNER/CEO

Deb grew up in the family business, working summers with her mother in accounting and also doing toner deliveries. After attending the College of Notre Dame of MD and receiving her bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts, she ventured out to Hollywood to study at the American Film Institute. Deb decided to return to the city of her birth, Altoona, in 1992 and join WPS as the Branch Manager for the Central Pennsylvania Office.

Over the years, Deb has been involved in all aspects of the company and has been a true change agent in developing managed print and network services. In 2013, Deb was named President & CEO, focusing on growing the company by empowering every employee to be leaders and creating a culture of family. Along with her siblings, she created Doing Better Business, Inc., and acquired the assets of Van Dyk Business Systems in Pittsburgh, PA. Since then, they have acquired Total Service, Inc., in Latrobe, PA and the acquisition of WPS from their parents was completed on August 31, 2017.

Her success stems directly from the mission statement of Doing Better Business (DBB) and the desire to have every customer feel a part of the DBB Family. Under her leadership, WPS and DBB have earned Fortune Magazine’s Great Place to Work and Best Place to Work in Pennsylvania rankings. Deb participates in industry leadership roles, serving on the Ricoh National Dealer Council and is the current President of the Select Dealer Group. She has been honored in the Top 100 Business People of Central Pennsylvania and Women Making A Difference by the Pennsylvania Business Central Magazine several times, as well as winning the Blair County Chamber of Commerce Athena Award.

Outside of work, Deb enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, bicycling, and hiking with her miniature Goldendoodle, Bailey.

BETH DELLAPOSTA
OWNER/CFO

Beth started with WPS in the Accounting and Collections Department in 1991. She became Vice President in 1998 and in 2010 became the Chief Financial Officer. Beth studied Sociology and Early Childhood Education earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Beth attributes her success in life and business to her ability to be flexible: “If plan A doesn’t work, the alphabet has 25 more letters – 204 if you’re in Japan.” (Claire Cook)

A large part of the philosophy and culture of DBB includes giving back to the community. Beth lives this belief as indicated by the Service Above Self Award presented to her by the Hagerstown Rotary Club. Constantly involved in the community, Beth has served as Board Member for Food Resources and currently serves on the Board of Directors of two organizations; Girls Inc. of Washington County and the Maryland Theater.

Beth has two children; Jake and Jen. She enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, the arts and music, having played keyboard and fiddle in the band Hicktown for 11 years. Beth resides in Greencastle, PA with her fiancé Charles Palmer.

JOSEPH DELLAPOSTA
OWNER/COO

Joe started working at WPS during high school in the warehouse. He has been Chief Operating Officer since 2002 and while COO, served on the Ricoh National Dealer Council. Before WPS, he served as a Territory Manager for both Ansell and Baxter International, Inc., respectively. Joe earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland and his Master of Business Administration from Frostburg State University.

Joe, along with his siblings, created Doing Better Business, Inc., and acquired the assets of Van Dyk Business Systems in Pittsburgh, PA. Since then, they have acquired Total Service, Inc., in Latrobe, PA and the acquisition of WPS from their parents was completed on August 31, 2017.

Joe’s mission at DBB is to help our family-owned-and-operated organization provide industry-leading technology and services to our customers; enabling them to focus on their core business while becoming increasingly successful. DBB has experienced tremendous growth over the past four decades and Joe would like to continue to improve our overall market presence through mergers, acquisitions, and strong organic growth.

A large part of the philosophy and culture of DBB includes giving back to the community. To that end, Joe sought out and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, MD.

In his leisure time Joe enjoys golfing, boating, music, art, theater, traveling, and spending time with his three lovely daughters.
