Andy Aveni has been with DBB (formerly WPS) since 1995. Beginning as a Service Technician, Andy “worked his way up the ladder” holding various positions including System Engineer, Service Supervisor, IT Manager, and Director of IT. In 2013, Andy became the Doing Better Business, Inc.’s (DBB) Chief Technology Officer. Andy appreciates the opportunity for growth and advancement afforded by WPS/DBB and enjoys the team-based, customer-focused work atmosphere where all co-workers are considered part of the DBB Family.
Andy’s work mantra was developed by his observations while at DBB; “Everyone knows something that I don’t know. It’s important to listen to who is speaking whether young or old, rich or poor, experienced or not; always value the content.”
Before coming to DBB, Andy earned two associate degrees from Pennsylvania State University’s New Kensington campus; one in Biomedical Engineering Technology and one in Computer Engineering Technology. While there Andy belonged to both Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Tau Alpha Pi, the national honor society for engineering technology.
When not at work, Andy enjoys spending time with his family; Justine, his wife since 1998, and their two daughters and son. Giving back to the community is important to Andy and he feels blessed to be able to combine his love of family with his love of soccer; since 2006 Andy has been actively involved with several soccer organizations providing a healthy outlet for children.
