
Since 2005, Doing Better Business, Inc. (DBB) has been hosting President’s Club Trips across the globe, celebrating the hard work and dedication of top-performing employees. The three owners of DBB, who jokingly refer to themselves as closet travel agents, share a deep passion for exploring new destinations.
According to Joseph Dellaposta, Owner and Chief Operations Officer, “These trips help us create a sense of camaraderie and reinforce our culture of family and customer service excellence.”
The most recent President’s Club Trip honored the top performers of 2024 with an unforgettable retreat in CancĂşn, Mexico at Secrets The Vine Resort. Since the inception of these trips, DBB leadership has been committed to fostering diversity among attendees, ensuring that participation extends beyond sales professionals. These trips are not sales incentive programs and are not part of any compensation package—instead, they are designed as an exclusive, experience-based reward for outstanding contributions by any employee in the company.
“Shared experiences with team members outside the office build stronger bonds and help us understand each other on a personal level,” said Woody Moss, Vice President of Sales. “This translates into better collaboration and a stronger drive for success back on the job.”
In addition to recognizing seven sales professionals, this year’s trip proudly included four members of the Administrative Team and seven members of the Service Team. Leadership from each department was also in attendance, offering employees a valuable opportunity for visibility, mentorship, and career growth in a relaxed setting. According to Alan Scarton, Service Supervisor, “The benefits of this trip were both physical and spiritual. For our service team, we are constantly paying attention to the details. Having this time to reenergize and bond, without any worries was invaluable. Spiritually, I was filled with more prayers of thanks and praise, rather than being focused on problems and needs.”
Monthly Awards: Building Momentum for President’s Club Trip 2025
Beyond the annual trip, DBB keeps the spirit of recognition alive all year long with monthly themed awards, designed to generate excitement, motivation, and engagement. These awards serve as stepping stones toward earning an invitation to the next President’s Club Trip.
For 2025, DBB will set sail on a Margaritaville at Sea Cruise from Tampa, Florida, heading to sun-soaked island destinations. Employees can earn their way onto the trip through the following prestigious monthly awards:
🦜 The DBB Parrot Head Award – Recognizing the top Service Professional who achieves the highest level of service metrics.
🏆 The DBB Fin-Tastic Award – Honoring employees nominated by customer surveys, which are administered by a third-party after every service call, supply order, and installation.
⚓ The DBB Captain Wasted Away Award – Celebrating the top Business Relationship Manager, based on metrics tied to helping customers improve their businesses.

Most months, a single employee is honored in each category, but in February, a six-way tie occurred for the Fin-Tastic Award, reflecting the exceptional service and commitment to customer service excellence by the DBB team. These same customer surveys contribute to DBB’s overall customer satisfaction score, which reached an impressive 95 points in February.
Recognition That Matters
At the end of each year, invitations to the President’s Club Trip are awarded based on performance metrics and customer nominations. Additionally, DBB Leadership hand-selects President’s Picks—employees who have gone above and beyond to support key company initiatives throughout the year.
