Family, Passion & Technology: All Roads Lead to Rome!

All Roads Lead to Romo Group PhotoSixteen key members of the Doing Better Business (DBB), formerly WPS Office Solutions (www.doingbetterbusiness.com) team, and their guests, were invited on a once in a lifetime, educational and cultural experience to Rome, Italy.

“Our President’s Club Trip is by invitation only for our team members who have gone above and beyond in the past fiscal year,” said Debra Dellaposta, Chief Executive Officer.   “This trip to Rome was designed to not only celebrate our successes but to also inspire and promote cross-team creativity.” DBB invited members of their sales, service and administrative teams on the trip in order for the team members to gain a better understanding of each other and of their roles in the company’s success.

Ray Jordan, a field service technician, said, “we are blessed to work for an independent, family-owned organization that cares about us and our families. This was an amazing opportunity and we enjoyed learning and experiencing history.” The group had private tours of the Vatican, the Papal Summer Residence and Private Gardens, the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

The President’s Club is more than an employee attraction/retention strategy for Doing Better Business. “These experiences enhance our team.” said Dellaposta, adding, “We see a greater appreciation for each other and improved confidence and communication skills as a result.”

Doing Better Business has been offering President Club Trips since 2005 and the Dellaposta family members take turns organizing them.   “Our love of travel and exploration was passed on to us from our parents and we just want to pay it forward.” added Dellaposta.   Past trips have included Ireland, Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, a Clipper Ship Sail Cruise and Scotland.

In addition to incentive trips, Doing Better Business supports employees with profit sharing, health insurance, mentoring programs, and numerous company events throughout the year.
