This first ever award from the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County recognizes a local young professional (35 or younger) that, over the past year, has made a significant impact on the young professional community and the community at large, and has demonstrated a dedication to creating a vibrant community that attracts and retains young professionals

Amanda McClellan, a recent graduate of  Leadership Centre County  and member of CBICC Connect is humbled and honored to have been chosen from all of this year’s nominees: Heidi Wrights, PSECU; Mark Bamat, GB Accounting Services; Malissa Martin, Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy; Dan Ciletti, West Arete; Will Snyder, Art Alliance Gallery Downtown; and Maggie Anderson, State College Magazine.


Since Amanda joined Doing Better Business she has grown our presence in the Centre region significantly.  From her new office in State College on Sandy Drive, she continues to drive the mission of our business by helping her customers do better business.  With a clear focus on community and giving back, Amanda also models the mission of the CBICC Connect.   


Through her involvement with the State College Downtown Rotary Club and her volunteering for numerous charitable events like Special Olympics of PA Summer Games and The Glenn O. Hawbaker Annual Golf Outing, Amanda is definitely collaborating with her peers to keep Centre County a vibrant community.

CBICC Connect is the young professionals arm of the CBICC.  Connect provides young professionals throughout Centre County with opportunities to collaborate and expand their professional network – among themselves and also with the more deeply rooted business community.   CBICC Connect also gives young professionals a collective voice to identify areas of opportunity within the Live, Work, Learn and Play pillars in order to create a vibrant local economy in which all generations can thrive.
